Summary Data from 1512 Reports

Rhode Island state agencies submitted 134 reports in accordance American Recovery and Reinvestment Act requirements. In addition, 77 agencies who received sub-awards greater than $25,000 from the state agencies submitted reports directly to FederalReporting.gov. Below are summary reports of several 1512 data elements drawn from the state’s data extract as of October 28, 2009. Additional analysis is being completed and reports will be posted as they are completed.

Number of Jobs by State Agency

Number of Jobs by State AgencyState agencies who are prime recipients are required under Section 1512 of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) to report jobs data. OERR developed a jobs data collection tool and provided guidance to state agencies on how to collect jobs data from prime recipients, sub-recipients, and vendors in accordance with the Act. Jobs data is presented in summary format and is also reported by agency.

Sub-Awards Subject to 1512

Sub-awards are a required reporting element under Section 1512. Prime Recipients are required to report all sub-awards less that $25,000 in aggregate – both the total number and the total amount of sub-awards must be reported. Sub-recipients who receive an award greater than $25,000 are required o report directly to FederalReporting.gov under Rhode Island’s delegated, decentralized model. Sub-recipients are required to provide greater detail on these awards.

All Vendors Reported by Prime Recipients

Prime recipients and sub-recipients are both required to report on payments to vendors. Prime recipients report payments to vendors less than $25,000 in aggregate – reporting the number of payments and the total amount of payments to these vendors. Payments to vendors greater than $25,000 must be listed individually and include a description of the product or the service provided and the amount of the payment to the vendor. Sub-recipients are only required to provide a list of vendors – at the present time the description of the product or the service provided and the amount of the payment to the vendor is optional.
